Since 2017, I have been primarily working in a program called SuperCollider for my electronic and sound design pieces. SuperCollider is a coding environment that allows you to build your own synthesizers and even build your own compositions that are entirely divorced from a DAW setup. This opens up so many creative possibilities which is part of the reason why I find the program so fascinating. I love sound synthesis and crafting interesting, electronic sounds.
I've been playing guitar for almost two decades now but primarily Acoustic Guitar for about half of that time. American Primitive guitar, devised from John Fahey, is the genre or style of music that I have been attempting to perfect and the one that speaks to me the most. I like to rework old, Christian hymns into my own compositions like Fahey did.

I host a monthly radio show where I simply play my musical tastes which, luckily, is an eclectic variety.
Genres I play often: Electronic, Rock, Folk, Classical, Ambient, Avant-garde, and many subgenres from each genre that I just listed. I like to play a lot of new music too.
As a host, I will get vulnerable, at times, in an effort to connect with my audience. I'll provide some background and interesting facts for the music I play. I will comment on things happening in the culture, currently, as well.

These are some books that have had a profound impact on me. I graduated from college with a B.A. in Psychology, so naturally I'm interested in this subject. Many of the books here live within the realm of Psychology, and more specifically Depth Psychology.
A few titles are for a fairly specific audience and may not feel relevant to everyone, like Iron John: A Book About Men. And I don’t just mean “for men” in general, but for a particular kind of man with a particular kind of upbringing. Still, if I can help get the right book in front of the right person, I’m happy to try to provide that service.
Perhaps a review of each of these books and how they impacted me will provide better context. Maybe in future blog posts. I want to emphasize though that I don't take these books as gospel but as interpretations, many quite profound, that have provoked me one way or another.
